Hi-Macs Gemini Worktops

Edinburgh International Conference Centre is Scotland’s leading venue for conferences, conventions and exhibitions. Working with one of our washroom solutions customers, Lamart (Dundee) Ltd., MSF recently supplied a number of Corian Antarctica vanity countertops to the public washroom areas. In total there are 8 rooms with the Corian countertops installed including a massive 16 bowl island countertop.

Manufactured using 12mm Corian Antarctica the countertops are thermoformed around the undermounted bowl cut outs to allow water to flow back into the ceramic bowl to prevent excess standing water on  the tops. The countertops also feature 300mm tall coved backsplashes which are lit using colour change mood lighting.

This Hi-Macs kitchen worksurface, supplied by MSF to the homeowner via Southey Interiors of Keswick, one of numerous kitchen studios MSF supply in the North East, North Yorkshire and Cumbria, uses Hi-Macs Gemini, from their popular Volcanics range of colours, to create a beautiful, seamless expanse of worksurface around tight angles.

The worktops are complemented by a matching solid surface splashback behind the hob, 75mm Hi-Macs coved upstands, an undermounted stainless steel Franke sink and drainer grooves routered into the top surface of the Hi-Macs worktop. We have also added a small upturn to the front of the worktop where the sink is positioned to act as a ‘water safe’ edge to help prevent water running down the kitchen doors.
