Hi-Macs Boardroom Table, Newcastle Upon Tyne

Edinburgh International Conference Centre is Scotland’s leading venue for conferences, conventions and exhibitions. Working with one of our washroom solutions customers, Lamart (Dundee) Ltd., MSF recently supplied a number of Corian Antarctica vanity countertops to the public washroom areas. In total there are 8 rooms with the Corian countertops installed including a massive 16 bowl island countertop.

Manufactured using 12mm Corian Antarctica the countertops are thermoformed around the undermounted bowl cut outs to allow water to flow back into the ceramic bowl to prevent excess standing water on  the tops. The countertops also feature 300mm tall coved backsplashes which are lit using colour change mood lighting.

Working in partnership with one of our clients MSF were delighted to be asked to manufacture this prestigious, Hi-Macs bespoke boardroom table for 1 NG, a development and regeneration organisation based in Newcastle and Gateshead.

Manufactured from Hi-Macs Alpine White with a contrast Hi-Macs Concrete Grey inlay ‘scattered’ over the top surface, the table makes an eye catching centerpiece to the boardroom which overlooks Newcastle’s famous Tyne Bridge and Gateshead’s Baltic arts centre.

The table is a huge 6 metres long and over 1 metre wide so the use of any other material for such an installation would result in unnecessary, unsightly joins on the top surface of the table. However, due to the unique properties of Hi-Macs solid surface material MSF were able to manufacture the table in 3 sections in our factory for easy transportation and delivery to the offices before joining the sections on site to create an entirely seamless finish to the table top.
